The CTE Graphic Design program at Wheeling Park High School prepares students to enter the field of design or for further education in this field.

Throughout our CTE Graphic Design program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using industry standard graphic design software to create professional-grade design projects.

We explore the role of a graphic designer and operation and maintenance of a design studio. We learn the principles and elements of design, digital imaging, typographic concepts and techniques, and page layout and lots more.

School Club
Design & Illustration Club
Held on most Wednesdays from 3-5pm in Studio 235.

This year our club is focusing on several projects

  • Custom Holiday Coloring Book for Children
    Students are working on custom Wheeling, holiday and winter themed illustrations to produce as a publication for kids around the holiday. We are looking for local organizations we can donate these coloring books to. If interested, please email melissa.l.marshall@k12.wv.us

  • Club Fundraiser
    Students are working on creating custom illustrations to screen print shirts in our studio as a fundraiser for the club. Earning a profit allows us to purchase materials and other things we can use in our studio.


Students have access and are encouraged to earn the following certifications while in our program:
